Hello TTG

140 mile bike ride

My name is Connor and I have been fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust since October 2014 I began planning my event at the beginning of the month and had to prepare everything that I would need to complete the event, I came up with a date to do the event which was originally March 4th 2015 but I was out playing football on March 2nd and as I was running I accidentally stepped on the ball and rolled on my ankle, the injury forced me to sit out for a while, when I was able to get back to training again I planned once again a date which was April 4th but as I was putting the shopping in my home on March 25th my bike was stolen from me and I had to once again delay the event further. I quickly notified Police and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust about the theft of my bike and I received an email the next day from my regional fundraising manager notifying me that they had contacted my local Halfords store and they were willing to loan me a bike to complete my event on, when I went to the store on April 6th they gave me the same bike model that was stolen and a few accessories to go with it, they also told me that they were making the loan permanent and that the bike was mine, I am forever grateful for that and I plan to do something in return one day. I got home on my bike and planned the date to finally complete my event which was April 12th ( I needed a Sunday ) I biked from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Eyemouth in the Scottish borders the weather wasn't great but I completed my event and uploaded a video of footage I captured on the journey.

I have many more long distance bike rides planned.

I am now booked in to do the Tyne Bridge zip line event on October 31st 2015 which I will also be recording for you to watch, I will post further details on this event closer to the time.

My girlfriends nephew has Cystic Fibrosis and I won't give up my fight for a cure for him and all others suffering from the horrible genetic disease. You can find a lot of information about it in the video I will post at the bottom of the page.

Thank you so much for reading this and I would love if anyone does donate to include their name in the message so that I can thank you personally, give rep and give you a shout out!

I'd like to thank Hilton for clearing things up and verifying that my intentions are good and the charity fundraising is legit.

Yeah I didn't read it right (its 3:45AM) Sorry, That's what im going to do when I get back into the world again Ive been stuck in this cast for 1 Month its not fair

Aye same, I'm going to bed soon haha! I had a lucky escape mountain biking the other week, I couldn't stop on a deep descent and my front wheel slammed into a rock and my bike flew, I landed on my feet somehow... but the camera which was mounted to my helmet was ripped off from the shock of impact. I also had a little bike maintenance to do lol. I wish you a quick recovery.

Thanks bro, that's bizarre I was on the way down from a trail and there was this jump that everyone told me I had to try and hit it, So I hit the jump and flew in the air and heard a crack when I landed. I just thought my leg cracked but I was wrong, I fell down on the ground (turns out I broke my knee), I have pictures.

Ill let you see them if you want.

Aye go on then! I added you
