I dont know how it happened but someone got onto my account and took my inventory of $100 worth of skins. I did not even do anything stupid or click phishy links i just got on and all of my skins were gone and i saw they were all traded to some bot. Will steam give me my skins back because of this? I just made a ticket and I was hoping they can recover the stolen items.

Valve isn't returning any scammed items. Not sure if hijacked items = scammed to them or not. Anyways, go to steam support and make a new ticket, that's your best shot. Report the account that took your skins as well. Good luck man, that's very unfortunate.

Steam will do a return 1 time after that if it happens again then they wont help. The account they went to will be trade banned also

Oh and steam will also reset your steamsecurity thing I forgot what its called but they reset it and you can change your email and password accordingly

If you had email verification on they should not have been able to do this. If you had it off, then it's your own fault. If you had it on but they still did this then your email account is compromised.

If his password is the same as his email one then they could just go to settings and look at the email and then use the same password if they are different he has been logged without knowing

my email verification was off but how does it make it my fault? I bet a lot on csgo lounge so its less of a hassle if you turn it off

If your account got hacked and the skins were traded away steam will most likely give you your skins back or skin value back, but I would recommend putting the email verification on for trades. Good luck getting your skins back!

Because it's there as a security feature.

Having it disabled clearly says that if you lose items, Steam will not help you get them back.

So, sorry but you won't be getting them back at all.
