Everyone who said "sex isn't even that good", you're clearly doing it wrong.

Alexyy wrote Drunk driving & Speeding on public roads should have a 5 year minimal prison sentence.
and using your phone or whatever whilst driving, especially since that is as dangerous as DUI, or even more dangerous. It legitimately scares me that I used to live on an island where DUI is literally "the norm" and "it's fine because literally everyone here does it" smh. Nothing screams immaturity like irresponsible driving. Oh, but the new drivers are the ones to look out for? lmao, crusty old bitches get butthurt about 17 year old drivers, and then wrap their cars around lampposts because they have enough "experience driving" to get behind the wheel of something that can essentially be a weapon.

Katsumi wrote An individual largely decides their own mental state and the majority of people's claimed "depression" is because they're being lazy.

Sorry but this isn't even remotely true, and then you have the balls in the very next post to call another user "mentally immature"? nah.

Hoo-Dini wrote Alcohol and beer should be banned

Let's all take a minute to appreciate the genius.

Resistenza wrote Police officers in the UK are too highly hated despite them not being bad.

Granted, the chavs and neds who float about shouting about how "pigs r scum" don't know what they're talking about but there are still bad police in the UK. I'm familiar with more than a few corrupt, unintelligent, unskilled, asshole officer's.

My potentially unpopular opinion-
Drug and sex education needs to be completely revamped everywhere. There's so many ill-informed people around the world that it's genuinely ridiculous and holding humanity back.

An individual's actions shape their emotions, most people aren't clinically depressed and would rather wallow in their own self-victimization and prevention orientated mentality than actually do something to shape their reality (and thus emotions/outlook). This is one of the most unpopular opinions out there, yet in my opinion is largely true. As someone who faced severe depression back in the day. Your perception of reality is completely subjective.

And yes i do my friend.

Really? I've struggled with depression on several occasions. I was bullied to the point where I would refuse to go to school because I was scared for my well-being, this resulted in poor grades and me dropping out due to being so unhappy at school, that I would feel physically sick if I had to go sometimes, I would also get migraines which stopped immediately after I dropped out. I was kicked out of my own house because my asshole dad drank a lot and decided that I was a waste of space because other people made my life a misery, even though I worked and paid for everything I have owned since I was 13.

and me being depressed is my own fault? I don't think so.

I'm not going to paragraph post my sob story but i have had it just as bad, if not even worse. You are definitely not a special snowflake in that respect. Interestingly, i also had daily migraines until my shift, maybe it's actually linked to something.

However, in my final year of highschool and up until now, i decided to cut the shit and look into self-help. Mainly through the form of motivational youtubers that have went through difficulties that rival what you just posted. What i figured out, what i came to realize, is that i held value from just being myself, and the only person who can ever dictate who i am is me. I came to value my opinion of myself more than the opinion of anyone else, move past my (very deep) mental scarring and start moving forward for the first time in a long time. I did the things that i was afraid of and tbh i love life at the moment and am marginally more successful than anyone who went to my highschool.

I never quite saw you as a victim of circumstance. Being depressed is not your own fault at a young age. Staying depressed is. Hell, are you really going to let the mean little 14 year olds and your parents pull you down, why do that when you are the shit.

That being said don't take things out of context here, the situations that many people have been exposed to absolutely suck and that's what leads to depression. But you are the master of your own reality and can only shape it from here. I avidly believe that one never has to stay the same provided that they don't want to do so.

Okay, no, I entirely agree with this then. However, saying that someone is depressed because they're "lazy" is completely wrong. At a young age, it's damn near impossible to get away from it. Luckily for me, I could, and you as well, clearly but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone with depression can get away from it. Everyone can get depressed now and again as well. I've had a couple of bad weeks since I got over my severe depression where I've become depressed again but I can usually kick out of it fairly quickly now-a-days since I am in a decent situation. However, there are homeless people out there who are homeless through no fault of their own that are stuck in a loop that they can't get out of. That does not mean they're "lazy".

Definitely. It was poor wording on my part, i was referring to in the present moment as opposed to depression as a whole.
