If you're recording console gameplay, you should get an El Gato to record. You can edit your videos with Sony Vegas, which you can probably find for free on the internet although its illegal so I dont recommend that. You could also use Windows Movie Maker to edit if you need to. Also, a decent microphone will help, I have a Blue Snowball which was only like $45 on Amazon. GL!

^ in addition to that as far as when you record your commentaries, i'd recommend audacity, its what most people use and its free, when you do that i'd look up a couple videos on how to improve sound quality in audacity, you can tweak and edit a bit after you do the voiceover to make it sound a bit better. Good luck

I use Sony Vegas for editing, mainly because my university gave use a classwide key. I use audacity for audio editing. mainly to remove background noise and maybe make it more crisp if it is lacking. like mention before. for console the Elgato is a great choice. and mainly for growing, try to make videos on new games/DLC to expand your channel and gain viewers by way of searching.

I started off with a pretty cheap editor called Filmora which is $40, I edited my thumbnails with Pixlr.com, which is like a free, less cool photoshop, and I record PC with OBS, which is free and doesnt lag your game while you record. Elgato for console though
