$35 more will get you XFire 290 rig;

or you could get this;

As for monitor, can't help without a budget obviously. Single 290 or 390 will slay 1080p but you should be playing on 1440p with either of those cards IMO. You should definitely be running 1440p with XFire 290's. Basically, with this rig, 1080p would be a waste IMO.

For 1440p, these are what you should be looking at getting;

Much cheaper(if you need to save the money), but still a decent panel;

ideas change a lot new parts come out.... i use the forums for what there for which is learning and getting help.....

i saw you comment to a user last night a 25" dell 1440p that seemed decently priced.

as for a 290x rig i think ill stay with the 390x as im not upgrading and this is my first build so it last a year or so longer im planning on xfiring them.

1 thing though why would you suggest a h87 motherboard??? need to update bios, older... just curious

Edit: i would like to stay around 350 ish.

You use the forums to learn and then ignore my help? m'kay. 390x is a waste. Can flash 390x BIOS to a 290x. Can't see the U2515H on Canadian sites but if it's well priced, get it. 390x is not worth the $100+ premium over a 390. If you really want one of the newer cards, go with the 390 rig I suggested. H87 because it supports XFire and still has loads of features. It's still a perfectly fine motherboard. No reason to waste money on a motherboard. Relatable H97 board is going to be $20+ more than the H87 for no real improvements or extra features so would be a waste.

980 is also a waste, yes. They're better priced now but still not worth the premium over a 970. Of course you have you own opinions, but that doesn't mean you're right. You're paying at least another $20 for an H97 chipset board, and more again for a Z97 chipset board. It would be wasted money when the H87 board is well priced and more than enough for your needs, as far as I'm aware. I never suggested a 980 anyway, I suggested either a 390 or XFire 290s. Both would be wiser than a 390x, or 980.
