So basically, my niece got a penny or two inside the disc tray, and to fix it I thought I'd jailbreak it and download the games. however, I don't want to break the ribbon on the disc tray incase, its easy to fix, but if I unplug the 'ethernet' looking cable from the motherboard which is attached to the disc tray, does this stop ALL power going through the disc tray as something may happen to my household electrics?
I was looking to jailbreak this PS3 if I couldn't fix the disc tray.

Tbh, I don't even know is there a way to play a game with no disc when the PlayStation is jail broken, if so can somebody send me a link/help me out a PM would be very appreciated if somebody could help me over skype or something. Thanks
