I am currently about to get a car soon in around 5 months or so. So im going to start early on my research. First car I looked at is my favorite car the 2009 Nissan 370z. If anyone one of you guys have this car is there any cons to it? And the price range of the car is around $10,000 so if you have any other cars that is around that range of price go ahead and leave comment of what car! Thank you!

This is a NISMO by the way. Just giving you a look though!

$1000 dollars isn't gonna buy that car...

It probably isn't gonna buy much of any car sadly...

Did you forget a "0"?

$10,000 may get you a used 370, but I doubt it.

$1,000 will get you maybe a '95 Honda Accord. If you missed a 0 and meant $10,000, you still would not hit the desired price for a 370Z Nismo.

A 2009 Nissan 370Z is around $20,000, not even mentioning the fact that you want a Nismo which is a manual and would cost more.

If you want a Z, get a 2007 350Z. It's the oldest model you can get for the car and it would run at about $15,000. It's not as flashy as a 2009 370Z but you do not really need a flashy car as a first car. A 350Z should be enough for a first car, it's a pretty powerful car regardless.

I personally would not buy a Z if I were you. A first car should be a learning car. A lot of young drivers scratch their car and bump it all over. If you scratch up a '99 Camry, the pain would be less as opposed to a '09 370Z. Once you graduate out of high school, it's a different story. All your hiccups would be gone by then and you could get a car that you would enjoy for another 5+ years.

If you're looking for a serviceable for car, check out the Civic, Accord, Camry, Corolla. They're pretty reliable. You do not want to go after some old BMW or something either because you do not want to pay for the maintenance on a German engineered car, it is much more pricier and typically, Honda and Toyota are much more reliable than Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

I'm sorry, but that is too much car for a new driver. Based on your profile, you are 16, so I imagine this is your first car (might be second, but either way you don't have a lot of experience). You need a car that you don't care when you hit a mailbox, or get sideswiped, because it will happen.

Not only that, but just because mommy and daddy have 10k budgeted for you, does not mean you should spend it all. Insurance on this car will be sky high, and parts / labor will be expensive. Don't expect not to have to repair anything or you are in for a rough ride.

Get a little beater Toyota Camery or something.
