I think he is good as tanky support atm, but I personally think his damage mid/late game is pretty low, he has practically no kill potential 1v1 and he doesn't really offer much cc or damage in teamfights and I think sometimes he is just too much of a troll pick.. I main Akali and a few times a tahm has ate me and spat me out whilst I was in shroud which is pretty infuriating. It just depends on the player I guess. But he seems to be one of the tankiest champions in the game so he's still pretty decent. But I don't think he will show up in ranked much at all.

He won't show up because he will be banned almost all the time, same with ezreal.

Hypertanks will always show up in ranked. When people learn how his ult works (like they had to with braum) you'll see a lot of good kench players.

He deals %hp dmg so he's always relevant later on too.

He offers unrivalled utility and survivability.

He will probably be banned because of trolling.. for what its worth I played a few more games today with tahm kench on my team and is was pretty toxic, most people just trolling with him atm.. becoming the new bard

EZ only had a 9% ban rating! And it was only to target ban or counter ban certain people. Even tho he is super op with his ult most pros dont use him.

I haven't had much trouble fighting against him. He's just really annoying because you basically have to kill him twice because of his shield and he can sprint off with anybody else you're about to kill.

I've found it pretty easy to stay out of his range, but then again I mostly play ADC.
