i built this build because I wanted to max out every game I could ever play at 1080p meaning I want the graphic settings the highest they could be at 1080p. And I wanted to never have to worry about upgrading anything for a long time. This build is kinda a one time thing. I know this card is able to still perform amazingly at 1440p as well and at some point in the future I'll buy a good 4k monitor however I do not want to change any of my builds components around to try to fit a monitor in there I'll just get a decent Asus 1080p monitor at Walmart or something. I want my pc to have high quality parts and I don't want to downgrade anything just to squeeze a 4k monitor in I'm fine with 1080p gaming. So will this build be able to achieve my dream of maxing out just about every game out there at 1080p

I also made this cheaper version of my build Incase the first one was just outrageously over killing it can this build still achieve my goal?

It will max every game out but is horrendously overkill for 1080p.
CPU is overkill.
RAM is overkill.
GPU is overkill.
PSU is overkill.

A 980ti slays 1440p, let alone 1080p.

Don't just get a random 1080p monitor.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] monitor is a really decent 1080p one, if you are so adamant at spending this much just to play at 1080p...

Max budget?
Will you overclock CPU/GPU/both/neither?
What will the system be used for?

My max budget was supposed be around $1500 but like I said I wanted to make sure that this pc last for years to come without ever needing to be upgraded because this build is a one time thing I turned 18 this year and this computer is a early Christmas present it will proubly be my only present because of the price but I'm fine with that. And the pc is Bieng used for maxing out every game out there and every game to come out at 1080p but at some time in the future I will get a 4k monitor but not now.

With a $1500 budget, excluding monitor, you're wasting money at 1080p. Any more than $1k at 1080p is a waste. $1500 will easily get you a nice rig that'll play 1440p very well.

The reason I made it as overkill as I did is because when I decide to get a 4k monitor that will be all I need since everything is so overkill in the system for 1080p there will be no upgrading needed I'll get a new monitor and ill start gaming at 1440p or more. And that's what I wanted. So I'm not wasting anything except the $100 that the 1080p monitor cost

Again, you still have not answered;
"Will you overclock CPU/GPU/both/neither?"

It is a waste. It's not "overkill", it's just a waste. Even $1k will get you a system that'll slay 1080p and still be able to play even the most demanding games at high settings on a 1440p panel.

Yes I will be overclocking and I'd rather waste the money and have the best pc I can afford then trying to cheapen everything up and needing to upgrade later in the future. If I have the money to spend then why not spend it I will get a 4k monitor in month or two will this setup be good for 4k gaming. And thanks for your help so far and if this one is to overkill what about the other one I made with the 970 and 4690k is that one more suited for 1080p gaming can I still max games out with that
