Upgrading my PSU, and I've came up with two. Just wanting a second opinion on which one would be better.

Or if there are any others recommended, my budget is $80 USD. Would strongly prefer semi/full modular as my case doesn't provide much room for cable management.

Also, if it matters, my specs:

i5 4460
EVGA GTX 970
Asrock H97M Pro
And two HDDs

I'd go with the Seasonic unit there always best.

The 550GS is a Seasonic unit. EVGA use Seasonic OEM for their GS series.
Also, they're not "always best". Seasonic have some mighty fine units, but not the best. Delta and SuperFlower are both slightly better than Seasonic IMO.
Arguably, the two 'best' and highest end PSUs on the market are the EVGA 1600T2, and Corsair AX1500i. The T2 uses SuperFlower OEM, and the AX1500i uses Flextronics OEM, who are better known for server grade PSUs. For consumer grade PSUs, typically, quality wise, it goes Delta>SuperFlower>Seasonic. None of them have particularly bad PSUs though so anything using any of those 3 as OEM, will be more than adequate.

OP-Either will be a fine choice, both are great units. Not the highest end, obviously, but still both great units. There are loads of options in all honesty, but you can't go wrong with the 550GS and that's the unit I'd go with, especially between these two since it's fully modular as opposed to the Seasonic G 550W being only semi-modular. Of course, semi-modular is still better than non-modular and there's not a huge difference between semi and fully modular.

TL;DR- if you'd prefer fully modular, take the EVGA unit. If you don't care too much about semi vs fully modular and would prefer to save $5 or so, take the Seasonic unit, both are great.

I was swaying more toward the EVGA unit anyway. I appreciate the help.

No bother. Great unit. I don't know anyone personally who owns one but I have the 750G2, which is a fantastic unit. The GS series aren't quite as good as the G2's, but the G2 units use a typically better OEM and the GS series are pretty close to the G2 units for performance, and reliability. It's obviously not a surprise the GS are slightly poorer quality than the G2's, since they are more 'budget' oriented.

I saw a G2 550w on Amazon for around $85. I would assume its worth the extra $5?

EDIT: It was $90.

I never even realised EVGA had released a 550G2 and 650G2 unit, they're new units, released fairly recently. They're smaller, physically, than their bigger brother's but share the same SuperFlower LeadEx OEM as their bigger brother's so yeah, if you're happy spending the money, a 550G2 would be a great buy. I can't fault my 750G2 and I'm looking at an upgrade to an 850W unit, because I've loved my 750G2 so much, I didn't even bother shopping around, just decided to get the 850G2.

TL;DR-550G2 and 650G2 are newer, and smaller but same OEM as 750G2 and up, get the 550G2 if you're happy with the price.

I'll probably end up getting the 550G2. I don't mind spending more money if a product is worth it.

I wasn't aware that EVGA released a 550G2 until earlier today either. No reviews yet on Amazon so it has to be really new.

Thanks a lot for the help.
