Okay, so does anyone know how to edit what writing is on the screen like change the words (hilighted in blue), for example from 'Roslyn' to 'TheTechGame' or something.

And also does anyone know how to change the image of the battery life thing (hilighted in red) to something like a nike tick that goes down when battery goes down, ive seen this done on a friends iPhone but wondering if anyone knows how to do it on htc one m8

Your talking Root Access since its a android. Look up custom roms on XDA or YouTube to see what to do on ODIN or a Rom modifier app in the PlayStore. hopefully you get TWRP custom boot or CWM recovery. If you dont do this and you mess up you might brick your device. There are ways around taking bricks off after you sharted them out on your phone. Its called ODIN, look it up on XDA if you get to that stage or PM me and ill help you over skype.
