What do I need to record Xbox games? Thinking about doing some YouTube videos

a pvr, and a computer. Thats it, a PVR to capture the gameplay, a computer to record the gameplay, save it, edit it, and upload it.

You should already have a computer, just find a nice PVR, everyone will say elgato but I found that the hauppauge hdpvr2 works great

would you say it's better? I've been thinking about getting an elgato but if that's better I may get it instead depending on the price .

I use an Elgato to record all my videos these days, if you can pick one up and have a half decent PC for recording and editing your videos, you will be fine!

a lot of people i know went with the elgato and they all had to purchase new ones, I have had my pvr since 2010 and its still up to spec and hasn't ever broke on me

tbh i would think of getting a roxio gamecapture pro half of the price of a elgato and it does the same thing

You can just use the xbox, it's just quite difficult
