I fix phones and other electronics around my area.
I was asked today if I can fix drifting controller analogs and sticky buttons. I'm able to fix buttons very easily but I have not found a solution to the drifting.
Any ideas or suggestions heard of that work?

Most of them aren't covered or they can't get replacements due to bring just an average controller. I'm just looking for some type of solution method of possible.

PoorManCustoms wroteIt may sound simple but couldn't you just plain out replace the thumbstick? I haven't opened up one of my Xbox One controllers yet but I know on the 360 it was an easy fix. All I did was put a drop of oil in the part where the thumbstick goes onto to (the thing that rotates when moved) and then attached the new thumbstick and it works as normal after that. Is it safe? No idea. But it worked for me.-Popcorn wrote That Happened To My Scuf A While Back And I Just Sent It In For Repair

You should try to google your problem, I know you came here for help but it doesn't seem like you're getting a lot of responses. If you find nothing you could always try the method I tried.

Definitely will give it a shot. Google I had no luck with at all. Just figured I'd give it a go with helping customers but it seems to be more trouble then it's worth.

This is a problem with the rotator inside of the analog stick, it is sticky and dirty, open up the controller and just get some damp wipes, not so damp and clean it up then dry the controller stick the analog stick in and you should be good to go.

Definitely will do that! Thank you. I had it apart before but didn't visually have issue so I used a air compressor to "blow it out" but it didn't help. I'll try it later today.

It's a quick and easy fix, I fixed mine myself. So if you have a torx t8 screwdriver you're all set!
firstly, just unscrew the 5 screws, the first 4 are on the sides of the controller, the last screw is under the battery cover under that warning label, Just scratch it off. Then just take off the controller plate, and take the stick of and put it back on. THats how I fixed it.
if you don't have a torx screwdirver, you can get it on amazon for like 1$.
