How can I record the screen with out jail breaking my device ?

Before i had Jailbreak, to record my screen i got Airplay and streamed my iPhone to my PC. I then used a PC recording program such as Fraps to record my PC screen with my iPhone screen broadcasting on my PC screen. I then put the video through Sony Vegas and cut out the PC so it was just the iPhone screen. It get's a little confusing but read it a few time and you will get it.

EDIT
This will work with iPad's too.

run onto pc and then record pc screen

many free software's allow you to do this
