Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place in a dystopian future set in 2065, 40 years after the events of Black Ops II. Air defense systems have advanced to a point where they cancel each other out. As such, most of the warfare between countries is done by covert operatives fighting behind enemy lines. Science and technology have radically changed both the landscape as well as the future of the human race, with society violently protesting and attempting to halt further advancements touted by scientists as "progress". Military technology has progressed to the point where robotics play a main role in combat, and supersoldiers have been developed to fight in the battlefield. Humans have reached the point where they are considered to be more machine than flesh and blood. As a result, there is speculation and fear about an eventual robotic takeover. The game will follow a team of black ops soldiers, like previous installments in the Black Ops series, with supersoldier capabilities.
Zombies
There are two confirmed Zombies storylines in Call of Duty: Black Ops III at the time of its reveal. One story focuses on a new group of characters: Nero (Jeff Goldblum), Jessica (Heather Graham), Jack Vincent (Neal McDonough) and Floyd Campbell (Ron Perlman), who reside in the fictional Morg City. Treyarch describes the new characters as "troubled individuals" with "a long and sordid history of past misdeeds". The four characters are thrown into a twisted version of the city, overrun by zombies, and are guided by a mysterious, unreliable figure called the Shadow Man (Robert Picardo). Treyarch says that their story will tie into the main Zombies storyline in the past games, particularly "Mob of the Dead" from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
The second story focuses on the alternate versions of the original characters: Tank Dempsey (Steven Blum), Nikolai Belinski (Fred Tatasciore), Takeo Masaki (Tom Kane) and Edward Richtofen (Nolan North), which were introduced in the Black Ops II map "Origins". Their story continues from where "Origins" left off, as they attempt to rewrite the original timeline's history.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 features a brand new movement system, including wall running, where players are able to easily go from place to place. In addition, the movement system also features jet packs in which players can move through the air with controlled and limited thrust jumps. On players HUD, theres a white meter in the center. This meter indicates how much thrusting ability players have. The meter replenishes itself often.
All of these movements can be chained together and become an independent experience on its own. While doing any of these movements, you can actually still use your weapon.
However, players that do not want to use the new movements do not have too. The maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 are being designed to allow fans to play with boots on the ground, allowing either style to work.

Black Ops III features a new momentum-based, precision-focused, chained-movement system, allowing players to fluidly move through the environment with finesse, using controlled thrust jumps, power slides, and fast mantling capabilities in a multitude of combinations. With the guns up philosophy, players maintain full control of their weapon at all times and have 360-degrees of motion through all maneuvers. Maps are designed from the ground-up for the new movement system, giving players a feeling of power over how they use the environment for advanced tactics, while at the same time pushing strong head-to-head engagements for classic Black Ops boots-on-the-ground action.

Black Ops 3 features new specialist character system in multiplayer inspired by Destiny. Treyarch has added a new way for players to rank up and level up. The game features nine specialists, each with two abilities. You get to pick one specialist and one of the powers before every matches, similar to how you create a class before matches. Players can only have one specialist selected for each match.
Treyarch has revealed six out of the nine specialist that will be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3:
Ruin (Real name: Donnie Walsh)
Bio: Raised in a military family in a tough neighborhood, he is fearless and headstrong, an infantry soldier through and through. He uses his unique abilities to rush into battle and surprise the enemy with sheer force.
Power Weapon: Gravity Spikes creates a devastating area of effect shock wave in the surrounding area.
Ability: Overdrive gives players a burst of speed for a short period of time
Seraph (Real name: Zhen Zhen)
Bio: Militant enforcer of the 54I crime syndicates rule of law. She is known for her focused and unflinching combat discipline, striking fear within the ranks of the cartel.
Power Weapon: Annihilator high-caliber revolver that instantly kills any enemies in the bullets path.
Ability: Combat Focus temporarily adds a multiplier to score in order to help players rack up scorestreaks.
Outrider (Real name: Alessandra Castillo)
Bio: Developed keen observations kills growing up in the streets of the Favela, traversing the rooftops to watch the action of the city below, and this earned her a place in the ranks of the Brazilian Special Forces. She outsmarts enemies by finding them before they have a chance to know what hit them.
Power Weapon: Sparrow compound bow featuring explosive bolts that stick in enemies.
Ability: Vision Pulse senses where nearby enemies are and highlights them for a short period of time.
Reaper (Real name: Experimental War Robot)
Bio: Started as an expensive military R&D project to supplement Special Operations soldiers in the field, the EWR was a cutting-edge prototype combat robot, the most advanced in the world at the time. Budget overruns and embarrassing political incidents left the project all but a resource for scrap metal, except for the one prototype that remained.
Power Weapon: Scythe transforms Reapers robotic arm into a powerful mini-gun
Ability: PsychosisInfiltrate enemy DNI systems to simulate three instanced decoy Reapers.
Prophet (Real name: David Wilkes)

Ability: Glitch Hack the battlefield When having this ability equipped, Prophet can relocate himself back to the previous location. This is especially helpful if hes entered a dangerous situation.
Nomad (Real name: Tavo Rojas)
Bio: Last surviving member of an elite Rapid Deployment Force unit specialized in Jungle Warfare, Rojas has gone off-grid using his survivalist training to stay alive. At home in the wild, he uses his skills to turn the environment against his foes.
Power Weapon: Hive with the Hive, you deploy pod traps. Once an enemy comes near the traps, theyre dead. Its basically a more deadly C4.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3: Old Maps And Weapons, Characters, Level Cap
With the Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops moving ever closer, there have been a number of questions about what gamers can expect to see. The design director at Treyarch, David Vonderhaar did his best to answer a number of those questions from Twitter users recently and while he couldnt be specific about everything that was asked, he was able to fill in some of the blanks that had formed surrounding the game.
One question centered around whether or not the development team was thinking about bringing old weapons and maps from previous iterations in the series to the Black Ops 3. Vonderhaar answered that it certainly isnt off the table but that was easier said than done at this point. Specialists were recently unveiled in a big way as well as scorestreaks. Now, the design director is shedding a bit more light on those characters. Asked whether they need to be unlocked or are there from the start, Vonderhaar said that about half of the specialists are gated by level and unlocked by tokens. He added that they all have their own progression.
Finally, the exec talked, although incredibly vaguely about whether or not there is going to be a level cap during the beta. He answered that there are plans for that sort of thing, but wasnt willing to say what those plans actually are. He answered yes and no and wouldnt shed any more light on what those plans might be. Looks like well get to see what those plans are when the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta launches. The full game launches for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC this November.

The date for PC beta is unannounced as of now, Should be sometime after the PS4 Beta.
