If u was to make a forum on my website using notepad ++ how would i start

Like what would i need to add to get the basics going

If you dont know anything about PHP, HTML (atleast) then you might aswell download MyBB. This is a software what installs a forum for you and its very easy to use and simple to modify

Do you have any knowledge in CSS, HTML, or PHP, Javascript, JQUERY? Ruby on Rails? Hopefully you said yes to atleast a couple of them. Because that would help a lot.

I would suggest using Laravel, or some type of php framework.

Making a custom forum from scratch is a time consuming task. If you are new to coding then I would suggest you download MyBB.
