The people who post and say "yeah, I have one, but I'm not looking to get rid of it" would be saying that as a bartering technique. I.E. I'm not looking to sell, so start off with your highest offer so I can get more out of you.

I would just like to say that I LOVE this rant. After being away from TTG for awhile, I'm totally shocked to see the amount of people who post unesseccary garbage. It reminds me of a person who walks up to a conversation and says something totally off-topic and expects a valid response. People need to understand that post count may seem important but having a useful post should be a much higher priority.
For those of you who say "gtfo we all have an opinion and the right to post it". Yes, you do have the right to an opinion, but when somebody asks for people for a Michael Myers lobby and you say something along the lines of "I would but I'm not home", that isn't a post. That comment is insignificant and a depressing attempt to raise your post count.
My biggest piece of advice for those of you who dislike people who post nonsense would be to thumbs down their post. When you thumbs down a post you're not only saying it isn't relevant, you are contributing to their amount of posts that are labeled as unuseful. I'm sure many would disagree, but at the end of the day, I would rather have 100 useful posts then 1,000 useless posts. It's how you contribute to the community that decides how you are perceived.
In addition, there seems to be a majority of members who are young and have the attention span of a squirrel. In that case, I just let them be because the younger generations seem to feel more entitled to an opinion, for some reason.
