so this is what i have..
Case CoolerMaster K350 (RED LED)
Processor (CPU) Intel Core i3-4160 Dual Core Processor (3.60GHz)
Motherboard ASUS H81M-PLUS
Memory (RAM) 8GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz (1 x 8GB)
Graphics Card 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 (ZOTAC)
1st HDD 1TB SATA III, 7200RPM (6Gb/s)
2nd HDD N/A
Optical Drive 24x Dual Layer DVD-Writer
Power Supply Corsair VS350 (350W)

cpu is fine, its modern and performs very well.
First things i would upgrade is the powersupply and graphics card. thats the main thing thats holding you back. Then i would get a ssd.

i was thinking a cpu would help... along with gfx card and power supply

so lets say 300 GBP to do some upgrades that will make a difference.
also a good monitor for around 250 but this wont be from the 300 its just something ill look at in the future

your not going to see a significant performance increase going to a i5.
This will have the most impact at the moment.

this could be an alternative, bit over £300, perfect for 1440p though and could play games at 4k. next step new cpu and ssd.
