It works, you just need to find that perfect moment. I had same problems with first account yesterday. I've done it like 20ish times and didn't work, then few hours later I've decided to give it another try and it worked after 15ish times. Amd following account worked instantly.

Not had it working since store went down last night, anyone confirm it still works after store service alert with xbox.com ??

I'm checking it right now. Didn't get messi/cards yet, just legend pack.
Also, someone is reporting issues with FUT (new thread in this forum). Seems like servers still are not as good as they should be.

Ahhh, hopefully issue with servers again then. Not had much joy since store went down, let's just hope they haven't patched it from xbox's side. Did a ton of accounts yesterday varying from 1 attempt to 20 attempts but not much joy today

Lucky you anyway. Couldn't do much yesterday 'til night due to my kids, so all I've done through the day was 2 x 2200 points and 12 new, empty live accounts. And obviously Xbox log in servers gone down ffs.
Today I've tried to get any points for two accounts. One from yesterday, where I have Messi already and other new one with no Messi. About 30-35 tries for each and no luck. Shame. Wouldn't mind to sell few point accounts to cover FIFA 16 cost as I have Deluxe Edition for about 10 days.

What happened to me right now is I have received message about coins ratio being decreased due to me leaving online game. I wouldn't worry, but I only played ONE online match, but I have received this message second time today and I have 2 lost games instead of one.
