Pretty much exactly what he said really, if it's power you want then look for muscle cars like Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes are all available for that kind of money. Personally I'd go with a 05 STI for about $15000 and spend the rest on mods

I would go with a dodge challenger and the model with a V8 Hemi to get the most power! My personal favorite. VROOM..VROOM!

With that type of budget I would give a bit more of a specific search.

I personally would recommend a
Subaru, but my recommendation is bias considering I work at Subaru and have only driven Subaru's. BRZ is a great sports car but the WRX is more my speed due to the AWD. You can find many people investing in them on the internet everywhere.

Plain and simple, cars are not investments. They loose value as soon as they roll off the lot. The only way you could truely invest in a vehicle is getting a really old one that they don't make anymore (that was popular) and keep it in good shape. These would be like your '78-'79 Ford Bronco's, COPO Camaros, etc.

You don't want a rust bucket Ford, and they'll hardly go up in value.

I would say a classic Porsche 911, they seem to go up a lot and are sports.

Had to google the car you mentioned in your post.

Which is identical to the Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ, I didn't realise there was now a 3rd car manufacture who had this similar design, does your Scion also have a Subaru boxer engine in it too then?

Really nice car for someone your age, hope you look after and be safe

Fords of the 70's aren't really rust buckets unless you dump them in a river and leave them there. That title is mainly for Dodge. Chevy has it's issue with rust on the cab corners, and the late 90's Ford trucks have a rust problem on their rocker panels, but for the most part Dodge rusts everywhere.

Ford Bronco's where popular, and they stopped production in 1996. This body style was only made for two years, '78 and '79.

Not only that, but you can pick these up cheap and work on them for pretty cheap. Pick up an old Porsche and expect to spend a few extra bucks, or prepare to be spending a fortune restoring it.
