just like FMWK said reinstall steam or maybe try going into steam options or edit ingame resolution ?

I usually get this when i install a AV.
Make sure to let it through the firewall!

I have this issue if I have another overlay open etc MSI afterburner.
I have to close MSI then open H1Z1 and load the game then reopen MSI.
