Make sure all the corners are one style not some slanted and some not.
I can tell you have used a font to create this logo because you didn't know what I meant.

EDIT: If you have added a drop shadow, turn down the opacity a little bit
Have you used a font to create this or have you made the shapes yourself?

Yeah it was made with a font, Xero's Theorem
I only use that font for customising text logos.
If your making a team logo, make sure u have a understandable font and make it look clean.

If that, when making a text logo you should at least try to make it without a pre-defined font and use shapes and other techniques. I mean this only stands out if the logo you have made is clear that you have used a font and just stuck 2 letter together.

I understand that, its just that i'm a beginner and I guess the creative juices just aren't flowing as of right now. Think about it though one of the most popular logos in the COD community, the FaZe logo, is just a backwards F and a C in the batman font.

Ferox used pentool to create FaZe logo, looks like he used the font but he didn't.

Exactly, the CoD community has adapted this style of design and completely endorsed it as a clean design of a logo, but, really it isn't and it doesn't look go either, it looks shabby.
