Hi guys I am going to be building my first gaming of. I want it to be able to handle most games on high settings if possible, my budget is £400-£500 I do not need any accessories such as mouses, keyboards etc
And also If anyone could tell me, with a £400-£500 gaming of, could I expect it to perform better than the next gen consoles??
Thankyou

pretty much
you could go £40 over budget for a R9 380 4GB which would be a bit better. but up to you.

i5 rig;

Motherboard is pretty barebones.
Or, get this;

Youi can drop the cooler to save money if you want, or drop the cooler and swap the 1TB HDD for a 2TB HDD. Upgrading to a 2TB HDD will still be cheaper than the cooler but still over budget. The cooler is a good addition though, it will allow you to OC the 860k a bit and look nicer, as well as perform better and quieter. Benefits of this rig are, XFire capability, SSD, better motherboard, overclockability(debatable whether this is a benefit), better PSU, better cooler.
