Sooooo I heard MW2 and COD4 are coming back to Xbox One around Christmas. My source was pretty reliable... I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts, since this is obviously fantastic news!
Oh, and sorry if this has already been posted, i've been inactive for a little while before today...

That is great news.

Do you have an actual link to your source?

Couldn't agree more, I believe those are some of games that will include that feature. However, I do not have an actually link.. I heard via face-to-face interaction with one of the higher ups at GameStop.

CarriedNevada21 wroteI doubt anyone at GameStop has any clue as to what games will/will not come to backwards compatibility. The only possibilities I can think of is that they have connections at Microsoft (If this is the case, the fact that he's a higher up at GameStop doesn't matter) or if a higher up at GameStop would have a hint as to what games would be coming, so they can stock up on those games.UZl wrote That is great news.

Either way, I don't believe he/she is reliable at all. I personally think that those games will come to backwards compatibility because it would be a stupid decision not to.

I highly doubt those older games will come to Xbox One. It could be fun, but there is a %99 chance it wont happen.
I do think they will add Black Ops 2 to the Backwards Compatibility list as it is so popular.

Why would they do that? They can just bring out a new call of duty and sell the old maps as DLCs and users who played the old games will purchase it. You purchased the game in the past and purchased a new DLC on a new game which you also purchased. = £

They could do that, but that would defeat the point. They would bring the games to Xbox One because of the high demand. People don't want to play the new COD's, they prefer the old ones. Supply and demand... If people are willing to pay for the old games why not make them compatible for the new Xbox? I believe more people would buy the old games. I have talked to many people (including myself) and they have not been entertained with the new COD games, which have came out the past couple years, and would prefer to play the old ones (COD4, MW2, etc.) so when I heard the news about the backwards compatibility with COD4, MW2, and possibly WaW I became ecstatic.
