Will cancelling authorisation for my Xbox live to be payed by PayPal automatically stop the renewal process of Xbox live?

Yes it will, but you may also want to go to the Xbox site and cancel auto-renewal so Microsoft doesn't try to charge you at all. It will just prevent any potential hassle.

Here you can remove the payment option and disable auto-renewal.

imgur is right. I didn't cancel it online so I ended up getting charged over 150$ more

Yes buddy, however if I was you I'd ring Microsoft to cancel it, as I did it before and it messed my account up for a couple of days because they couldn't take the payment to renew the membership.
