This rant will be super short. I just hate how some people are too sensitive about certain issues. Mainly the big issues I can think of have to do with gay marriage, racism, etc.

For example, how the democrats in California removed the words "husband" and "wife" because it "discriminated" against same-sex marriage. I'm all happy for anyone who is gay because they got their rights, but why do people feel the need to overreact to little things, such as this?

For racism, everyone pulls the racist card too much. I'm not specifically talking about blacks, whites, Asians, etc, but as a population as a whole, everyone seems to become too sensitive and overreact to minor problems that most people overlook and disregard as racist or prejudice. They disregard it because it's simply not seen as racist or prejudiced unless you make it sound that way.

If you have anymore examples, feel free to post below.

I think a good one is in the UK not saying all the Foreigners but some are trying to change a lot of things because they don't like it or because it offends there religion I think last Christmas we didn't have a Christmas tree in our town centre because some of the different religions didn't like it

Please no one take offence to this

We're living in a world where political correctness has made it's way into actual law, bordering on violating the first amendment (hate speech laws, etc).
There isn't anything we can do about it because it'll only get worse from here.

It's disheartening how many people actually believe that you shouldn't be allowed to say something that offends people.

Well, on the political stand point such as removing the word "god" for the pledge of allegiance and things like that, they are trying to do the impossible- please everyone.

Other than that, yeah, we have a bunch of nimwits out there that can't see the meaning of a sentence past a word.

The funny thing is that usually immigrants are not offended by it they actually like it.
It's often the "Offence Police" that think that everything is racist and offensive
