$2500 and only a 980.. could have gotten a 980Ti and a 4K panel in there.

Did not need the X99 or the i7. I agree with everyone else - you spent too much money on mobo and CPU. GTX 980 ti should have been in there for a $2.5k build.

At this time the TI was not out... it's actually only 4 months old at this point.

Swap out that 980 for a 980ti when you can.

Everything else looks up to par. H100i isnt a great cooler, but it'll do.

That'll be because your motherboard is extremely over-priced.
It's a $400 odd motherboard when you only need to spend $200. The PSU is also more expensive than better units(RM850 is terrible quality FYI).
