I'm currently doing lessons for the run up to my test, yet to do my theory but I'm hoping for a first car would be something along the lines of a Seat Ibiza.

Why are you making fun of what CaliforniaDream drives? Have you considered that maybe it's what he wants to drive...?

Well since I guess this thread is going to stick, I'll chime in lol.
I bought a '97 F-150 4x4 with 160k miles for 5k when I was 15 (in my moms name of course). I have since put another 10k into it (all my money)....
The day we bought it, still sitting at the stealership:
Today:
I guess since I'm chiming in, I'll post my views on the whole parents buying kids cars. I think it is dumb. It is stupid to buy your kid a car in the first place, but a brand new car? This is the first big purchase most people will make, and now you give it to them? They didn't have to work for that car so they won't respect it. That's just how I feel and what I see out of the people I know who's parents bought their car.

Crazy how you guys get trucks as first cars lol, over here in the UK we get stuck with little hatchbacks. But the roads in your area are probably more open to it, i see the occasional Dodge Ram and it look huge compared to the average car here.
