So i've been out to sea for the past 2 months on and off, not enough time to get back on and realize that hey, i'm a 5 year member. Holy crap lol. Anyways, i'm in the Navy, so if anyone is thinking about joining or just has questions they may be curious about, ask me anything, i'll answer if i can!

Are you front line, or do you do a trade in the navy?


I am an Aegis Fire Controlman, basically I work on our ships weapon system. My equipment provides terminal hoaming illumination for the missiles we shoot.

It's pretty cool. You get a really hands on experience with electronics. All the way down to the nuts and bolts of things, resistors, capacitors, etc. Troubleshooting is 50% of my job. The other half is standing watch in combat on my console waiting to get told to shoot something.
