I don't mean to be rude but you have the same skill level as he does. Your portfolio is full of design techniques that wouldn't be used professionally in a real life scenario. I cant speak much for myself but its my opinion on the take.

I'm pretty sure you could not help the kid improve. Like the other member said. You are both at the same skill level.

someone without a degree can have a higher skill level then somebody with one, a piece of paper doesn't determine what you know. Although you took a lot of classes and took a lot of exams to earn it, it could prove to be helpful, it is not needed.
