just bought myself a new laptop
got a free 30 day trial MacAfee security with it
when this runs out what would you suggest I should download?

When I had no anti-virus software I just use Windows Defender and Malwarebytes which done the job well.
For anti-virus software, I've used both Norton and Avast. People say Norton is shit but the program it self is over protective which I found was a good thing. I've been using avast for a couple of months now and so far its been decent.

Malwarebytes is for malware, you should get a antivirus.
MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware remove viruses, worms, trojans, rootkits, dialers, spyware, rogue applications and malware.
