To me, the meaning of life is to find happiness no matter what situation you are in. Others might say that being successful is the meaning of life but to be truly successful you must be happy with what you have. There are tons of millionaires and billionaires that have unlimited money yet they are unsatisfied with their lives but then there are prime examples of those without money who have the most happiness in life such as Mother Teresa. She was not a rich person in any way and the main thing she did was help those in need which brought her true happiness. So to me, the pursuit of happiness is the true meaning of life.

The number 42 is, in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, "The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything", calculated by an enormous supercomputer over a period of 7.5 million years. Unfortunately, no one knows what the question is. Thus, to calculate the Ultimate Question, a special computer the size of a small planet was built from organic components and named "Earth". This appeared first in the radio play and later in the novelization of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The fact that Adams named the episodes of the radio play "fits", the same archaic title for a chapter or section used by Lewis Carroll in "The Hunting of the Snark", suggests that Adams was influenced by Carroll's fascination with and frequent use of the number. The fourth book in the series, the novel So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, contains 42 chapters. According to the novel Mostly Harmless, 42 is the street address of Stavromula Beta. In 1994 Adams created the 42 Puzzle, a game based on the number 42. The phrase 'the answer to life, the universe and everything is' has exactly 42 characters, including the comma after 'life'.
In that case... Fortytwo is the meaning to life.

The meaning of life is forward motion in unison with time. For example, if one is to lose something, it may be easier to attempt to move backwards in time through memory, but memory and time are enemies. One may stray through forks in thousands of roads throughout life, but nevertheless, he or she must always maintain forward motion. Even the afterlife holds motion, as time does not die with the flesh regardless of ones religious beliefs. In order to experience the meaning of life, one must learn to radically accept life as it is without seeking unobtainable answers, answers that may conflict with ones forward motion.

In my opinion, we will never figure out the true meaning of life. Everyone is so caught up in things that don't matter in the end. Once you think you have found the actual meaning of life, a new chapter unfolds. The world never stops for you or anyone else. We all have our own idea of what we would like to believe the meaning of life is. There are many different people, with different views, cultures, feelings and beliefs.. so i believe there is more then one meaning to life. Perhaps no one has the same reason they are alive, which is what makes things "work". The greater good is unknown and that means the meaning of life is unknown.

The meaning of life is simple, men who love women, women that love men back; start a very simple life, and usually live their lives normally, but sometimes that doesn't work out the way most people like it to normally. We all were made equal, but our rights don't stick with us through life, and we must strive for excellence for the whole human race. And that's the basic meaning of life.
