I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and since upgrading I've encountered an incredibly annoying issue. Whenever I type, I have to wait around 0.2 seconds before pressing the next key. If I do not wait this time, the character will not be typed on screen. I'm a fast typer (around 90-100wpm) so as you can imagine this problem is very annoying!

I imagine this problem is quite obscure, but please let me know of any possible solutions I could try. Thanks.

The driver could be incompatible with 10, I'd say try that first

Sounds like your either maxing out your CPU or RAM.

Go into task manager, see whats using so much and we can go from there.

If its a fresh install of win 10 [like 10 mins ago you upgraded] then this will happen. It does stuff in the background. Give it an hour and it should sort itself out.

I upgraded around 14 days ago, although I have only noticed the issue in the past day or two. Here are two screencaps of my Task Manager tabs:

The initial spike seems odd?

Seems fine to me. Did you start typing whilst the performance monitor was running? And do you have keyboard lag now?

That initial spike always happens. Just one of Windows annoying things.

I wasn't typing whilst it was running, and I still have the keyboard lag.

Edit: Problem solved (for now). I just tried simply reconnecting the keyboard and the problem is solved... Hopefully this isn't a re-occuring issue. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it
