So I Jailbroke my iPhone 5C many months ago and recently decided to unjailbreak the device due to too many issues/freezing occurring. Since the downgrade back to a retail iPhone my battery life has been shockingly bad. I have had the battery replaced twice now (Not from Apple due to there ridiculous prices) but from Other shops which surely do the same thing as Apple would. The fact is that replacing the battery has not improved the battery life at all.

The iPhone will charge quite fast too (Probablt about an hour or so to get to 100%) and then will drop even quicker.

My options:

- Risk taking it too Apple and hope for improvements.
- Sell it as spares and repairs and upgrade to an iPhone 6/Samsung S6

Wanted to hear what you guys thought, best answers receive rep.

My iPhone5c has had the same problems but it was the same before I jailbreaked it.It will take me 1-2 hours to get to 100% and then takes like an hour to drop back to 0% but my best advice would be to keep it long enough to see if there are any changes try changing the brightness to low and every time you open an app close it after but that's my best advice hopefully it works out but if not most likely sell it and get a better phone

Well if replacing the battery hasn't made any improvements on your battery life, then there may be something else wrong with the phone. For instance, a bad processor or something like that that could possibly be whats draining your battery.

So I would take it to Apple and just see what they say. Tell them you started to have bad battery life, and had the battery replaced twice but with no improvements so you think there may be something wrong with the hardware in the phone. They can run a diagnostic test on it and see. (I believe)
If you restored your phone back to factory settings after you jailbroke then they're gonna have no idea that it was ever done, so you don't need to worry about that.

It's always great to upgrade to the newer phone because of the better cameras, processors, screen, etc.. I wouldn't recommend switching to Android (but that's just my personal opinion because I'm not an android fan). However, with that being said I don't think I would upgrade to the 6/6 plus at this point because the next phone will be out pretty quick.

If I were in this position I would most definitely take it into to apple and have them run a diagnostic test on it. Who knows, it may be a factory defect and you're walking out with a new phone for free or very cheap. ;)

It's worth a shot either way! Hopes this helps!

Mine did the same thing.

I just completely restored my phone,

Then it was working just fine.
