Hi guys what should I get Astro A40's or Astro A50's this is a common pole but I would like to know the answer! I can pick up the Astro A50's for around £130 brand new condition or A40's for £100 like new condition. What you think? Thanks in advanced!

fraKtion wrote [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]ok thanks. I'll hear a few more opinions out first
Here's a good post with the differences. Just adjust the pricing considering that post is 10 months back. Personally I would go with the A40's. But its all on the person i guess. Good luck in your endeavors

If your gonna be using these for PC use don't get either they're crap when it comes to sound quality, they're just overpriced and well marketed.

Otherwise link me to a pair that work across all 3 platforms and are comfy for long hours of gaming. 8hrs plus.

One more thing what is the difference between the newer a40s to the older ones? I see you get an updated mix amp but is that it? Should I go for the latest 2015 edition A40s?

I like the A40s because I can use them with every device that has a standard 3.5mm jack (phone, new xbox controllers, pc, etc.). I also dislike the fact that you have to worry about how much battery life your headset has (A50s) so that's why I chose the A40s (wired).

Should I go for the latest 2015 edition A40s?If you want to use it across PC, PS4, and Xbone, I would suggest the A40 PC edition ($135) if you dont care about the mixamp, it would work on the xbone with a stereo adapter($20) and will plug right into your ps4 controller. VauIt wroteOk thanks I am going to go with the version that includes the mix amp and then buy the stereo adapter for the xb1! May I ask what the sound quality is like and the bass? as I cannot find a single vid that shows them off.
