I just ore-ordered black ops 3 through the xbox one store, will I still get a code? I attempted to do the status page retrieval and it says it hasn't been pre-ordered with this account

No you will not get a code, you have to go to the xbox store now and search for the beta.
if you even just type in "beta" and search it'll be there

Edit: got a message from xbox now too so that works as well.
