Jayden- wrote I'm sorry but how can most of you still be defending your gun laws?

How many more school massacres will it take? How many more disgusting events like this?
And don't say 'guns kill people, people kill people'. While this is true to an extent, if the people don't legally have access to guns, it changes the whole scene.

Gun laws in Australia were changed in 1996 after a shooting spree that killed 21 people. Since Australia banned guns, there are very rarely cases of people being shot dead. Yet we constantly hear on our news that there has been yet another shooting in America.

Why are so many American's obsessed with their 'right to bear arms'? If it's going to stop your loved ones from being shot dead in a public place, wouldn't you sacrifice that right?

I don't care if some Americans find this post offensive, it's my opinion on the matter.

Even though I'm not American, albeit I live out here, but I don't call myself an American, due to most of my life living in Russia and being born there. That's besides the point. America has a huge problem with gang violence, where whether guns were illegal or not, someone is still going to get their hands on a gun. Criminals obviously aren't going to abide by any laws, if they want a gun, they're going to get it. I'm not saying you go out in the street and you see gang members shooting places up, no, but I'm pretty sure America has a higher gang/gang violence than Australia does and it all fits into what I'm saying regarding guns. People sneak stuff over the border all the time, illegally, which in turn winds up in the wrong hands. Yeah, someone can purchase a gun legally and still do something like what happened, but if they were illegal, it's not going to stop a criminal from getting what they want, due to the fact of many things that get smuggled into America and how the gangs have connections to get guns. Banning guns won't work out here like a lot of people think, no, I'm not defending guns, I'm simply stating, banning them won't work, due to the gangs and I will even throw in the drug cartel into this, since I'm more than certain they sell guns within America. Banning things in general isn't going to stop people from pursuing something, if someone is going to go out and kill someone or a group of people, do you honestly think they're going abide the law? No, if they want to do it, they're going to do it, especially if they can get said item, and out here, people can get shit like that easily if they know the right people, which is what I was stating above.

9 out of 10 times, the guns used were not legally obtained through proper channels.
Those that were still didn't properly disclose mental health issues when filling out forms. Ex. Virginia Tech shooter.

Australia is also nearly 14 times smaller in population with an already minuscule gun market.

"Why are so many American's obsessed with their 'right to freedom of speech'"

It's exercising a right that has been given to us.
Not to mention that a gun is used to save a life 80 times for every once it's used to take one.

Horizex wrote these are the kind of things that happen in america i dont even feel bad anymore because its the countries fault for handing guns out like candy no other country has that kind of gun violence if the gun laws where always tighter to begin with none of this would be happening as frequently as it does.

some butt hurt american is mostlikey going to reply with "its my right 'Merica" or "how else would i defend myself" well in other countries you'd use what ever you have at the time if you cant defend yourself without a weapon just stay inside this world isnt meant for a PussyLike you

You sir are an idiot. That dude had the motive he would have used a different weapon it was going to happened either way guns are not the issue crazy **** are.

This is shocking!
Don't want to cause a disagreement but America's gun policies cause this.
