It won't make a difference worth the upgrade, if you are wanting to upgrade your gaming performance then a GPU upgrade is next, but your current GPU should be fine for any 1080p gaming. The next CPU upgrade would be an Intel processor, which would also require a new motherboard.

What resolution are you playing at?
Are you sure that the video cable is plugged directly into the I/O panel on the back of the GPU, not the motherboard?

As I said before
Run any new game, and screenshot the HWmonitor while you're gaming. We want to see what your computer looks like when it's under load.
Make sure to screencap your CPU usage/utilization, and your GPU usage/utilization.
