Bandicam is a free software that adds a watermark, however records in great quality and is low in file sizes.

If you do not wish to have a watermark but larger files, download Camtasia.

Other than that, you cannot really do much else for free.

I started using a program called "Overwolf"

It seems to not take up too much fps and it also records in game noise/music and your voice.

Already a big no right there, that link automatically downloads it, I'd rather trust a website with a button. Also, most programs record in game noise/music and your voice.

If you have a nvidia gtx GPU, they have a built in feature called shadow play. All you need to do is enable it in nvidia experience control panel. It can record your desktop, and in game. Also it has a recording mode called shadow that will be active in the background of your games, and when something cool happens you press a hot key and it saves the last 1-30 minutes depending on what time increment you set it on.

Records ion 60fps upto 2K resolution.
