I made a brand new account on the live website. Got the free trial (worked perfectly). Then, added the account om my xbox one. Still says i can sign up for gold and doesn't allow me to play online...meaning the account is silver. Thoughts?

I remember there used to be a way you could get an online cc but I think they got patched or the cites discontinued.

I used a link like this earlier last month to get a free month, chances are it was the same link but I got it from a different website. It still works just fine I'm sure, I'll test it again once my gold runs out again which should be in a few days from now. You just have to click the link, sign into xbox.com, then it will pop up. If it says like Xbox Music Pass $0.00 just close the tab and click the link again and the Xbox Gold Membership for $0.00 will appear.
