Hey guys I need a pc built, I'm always fussing over the build and I need some help.
I have a computer at the moment, I don't need any peripherals, I have an SSD and HDDs so that's all fine.
All I need is a case, GPU, CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, mobo, PSU.
My budget is £1300 but can stretch to £1400 if it's necessary!
I'd like to be able to max all the latest games for a while, GTA 5 maxed is a must and I'm looking forward to maxing Fallout 4 and Battlefront etc
Also I'd prefer i7 as I may need to do some rendering for college and that, may start youtubing too.
Please help!

Ok so i've created something quickly, matched to your budget.
For your CPU Id recommend: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz . Ordinarily I would suggest for you to stick to an i5 because actually if you're on a budget, it can be a great choice. Since you have a large budget, just for the i7.
For the CPU Cooler, I would suggest: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. It's not a bad price, and it gives you good cooling.
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. A great motherboard from a great company.
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory. 16GB would be more than enough for what you're trying to achieve. 32GB could be an option, but i think it would be a bit of a waste of money.
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Superclocked+. Go for the 980Ti id say. That's probably the best option. Actually if you wanted, you could go for SLI 980's however you would need to upgrade your PSU ^
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+. I don't think you'll need more than that
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case. I didn't know if you wanted a full size tower, or a mid sized tower. Mid sized should be all you would need id guess.

Budget cooler
budget case
could be a lot better
Skylake

Haswell

Basically the same builds, just Skylake would be a bit better but the Haswell option has hyper-threading.
EDIT: with a 980Ti get a 1440P/4K Panel ASAP, 1080p is a waste for that card.

Yea i agree ^^ Some parts on this would be better. I don't tend to spend any more than I need to with parts ,but putting the budget into consideration that's probably better yea. The 980Ti maybe a little waste if you plan on running at 1080p so maybe a single 980 is better for this built specifically.
P.S He doesn't need a SSD or HDD either

You have two options imo. Go for skylake. Or go with X99.
Skylake: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The Skylake build has room for adding another 980ti in there with the 850w psu. I chose the R5 over the Define S because it has more storage options, not sure what you needed but that'll be enough I think.
X99: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
X99 is slightly over budget. And I'm not sure if it's the best option, but it's there.
Or you could swap out the 980ti for a Fury X they're kinda similar in performance, but the Fury X is water cooled.

@Clio
980 is a waste, 390 or 970 would be a wiser option than a 980.

If he's willing to spend that kind of money. He doesn't need an SSD, Monitor, HDD, Peripherals etc.. if he wants to get the most out of gaming then id say a 980. If his budget was much smaller then I 100% agree with you. Especially if he wants to play GTA 5 a lot.
I guess it's entirely up to the user. He can go closer to his budget and get better performance (even at 1080p) or like you say go for the 970

I don't want to start another 970|980|390 war, but with the 980 it isn't worth the premium over 970/390 at all.
