I agree. Like people working at McDonald's who are still in their 30s think they deserve more just for making a burger? Lmao they should of stayed in school then and not act a fool if they want a real job.

I totally agree with you, as this will not go over well. Inflation will occur and everything will rise in price, making all money sort of devalue. lol its pointless, everything will just cost more.

Labor cost go up; Product cost goes up; Pay cuts start; unemployment goes up;
somebody getting paid 15$ an hour at McDonald's are going to produce the same tasty burgers as someone getting paid $7.25.
There is literally no pro argument to raise the minimum wage.

Forest wrote When you increase the amount of money that goes into labor costs you're going to see either employees cut, more responsibilities per employee, fewer hours per employee, or price increases.
I personally think minimum wage should be a living wage, like it was when it was first introduced. The value of the dollar has gone down, but the pay rate hasn't seen the same change.
For the people saying minimum wage is fine, you haven't seen some of the troubles people have had. I can personally tell you life sucks and not everything works out the way you planned. A lot of things can happen in a short period of time, and people are forced to work multiple jobs and a lot of hours just to have a place to sleep.
I think it would be a better solution to raise minimum wage by literally a few cents a year which would basically match the current inflation rate. It's hard enough for small businesses to raise their wages up a few dollars, something like 15 would be too extreme to the point where businesses would make drastic cutbacks. I agree with you in the fact that people need to make enough to at least support themselves though. I wouldn't be opposed to a slight increase if one were to occur. An increase to 15 though would be too much to handle.

That's the problem with us Americans, we are never satisfied with what we have, we always want more. Raise it to 15 and people will still bitch and moan and want it higher. We are unsatisfiable

People that complain should try to get a real job that pays higher than minimum wage. Oh wait, that requires skill.

Raising it to $15 will only result in employers cutting hours/employees or passing the cost on to you the consumer. Look at Walmart for example. They raised their starting wage to $9 and are already cutting hours. Some of their stores don't even open 24 hours anymore, at least in my area. Businesses want profit and to keep costs as low as possible. Something does need to be done because things are getting more expensive and people aren't really making that much more. Their idea of a solution isn't really much of one and would probably make things worse. They can't really expect too much though, because these jobs are and probably always will be meant for students and unskilled workers.
