So basically i logged out of a locked account on windows 7 and created a new one so the old one should still be there but after a while, i logged out of my new account to go back on the old one and its not there. I know the account is somewhere because i went on control panel> users> manage accounts and the old account was there but i cant log on it from control panel so how can i get back on it?

Is the account enabled in local users and groups? Open up the run command window by hitting Windows key + r and typing lusrmgr.msc and see what accounts are enabled.
If it's enabled, then hit start switch users and login to the account you want to.

It's possible to hide user accounts from the Welcome Screen (even though they still exist and work fine). You do this using a registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList. If this key exists, you'll probably find two dword entries with the same name as your account (and a value of 0, which means to hide the account). Delete the entries if they exist and reboot your computer and your accounts will be back.
