Thank you, this is all I wanted to hear. People on here keep suggesting i5 to me when I can afford an i7. Makes no sense why I should buy an older CPU when I can get a newer one which will future proof me for a while.

Ill say this once more, you dont need an i7 for gaming or multi-tasking. Sure it'll help but the difference is MINIMAL. You have the budget, yes, I know, but the i5 will benefit more and the i5 isnt "older" than the i7. Some i5s are newer, actually.
You asked for help, we gave it to you. You dont have to take our help, thats fine. Its not my money.

This makes no sense. I wouldnt really call a R9 380 high end, but that can go with an i7. You dont have to have high-end parts with an i7. It would be unbalanced, but no one is stopping you.
