Why I should deserve gold?

I have been a lurker on this website on this website for a about a year, commenting here and here trying to help people out. To be honest I don't think anybody here has done anything amazing to deserve your gold, I mean you want me to write and tell you a ridicules reason on why I should be given a different coloured name? I mean if you think I deserve it then by all means

Hey, I would really like to be a gold member because I've contributed to the community for 3 years now. I would also like to be able to join the Gold Members Forums, and change my name. What you're doing is great and not many people do this. There is just so many pros to being a gold member it would be amazing be one.
