It annoys me when people say "Thank you for doing this giveaway" and do not enter the giveaway, they do it just to get +1 post. (Talking about the people who have gold) if you really want to say thank you just thank the topic.

I believe a majority of gold giveaways are mainly just to get +rep and thanks from members plus that badge. I believe if you didn't benefit anything at all from it very few members would gift anyone.

I don't think it's annoying IMO, They might want a +1 Post but they might not, they might actually take time out their day to say thanks to someone who is giving back to the community.

There is a button to say thanks. it takes 1 second. They are just post boosting which annoys me.

If they actually mean thank you then i dont see why it should be annoying but if they are only doing it for the post, then yeah I can see why its annoying
