Hello guys,
I'm in the stages of building my new gaming rig.
Here is the parts list: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I have currently already bought the processor and the GFX card. I would just like to know if there is anything you would change in the remaining parts before I purchase the rest in the middle of this month. I'm open to any suggestions at all as I'm still second guessing my choices on alot of the parts other than the processor and GFX card.
Sidenote: To start with I did have the ASUS Z97-A Motherboard but I decided to change it just because I'd seen some people saying parts of it were flimsy...
Thanks alot in advance!

G1 EVGA Units are pretty poor and use not so good OEM compared to the GS and G2 series.
No need to spend so much on a motherboard when you probably won't use any of the features you're actually paying extra for.
16GB is overkill for gaming
980 is a bad choice.
Hyper 212 EVO in a 1.3k Build
Wouldn't be using a full tower case IMO they just look ridiculously stupid unless you actually gonna use them for there purpose e.g. custom loop, SLI/Xfire setups
Sounds harsh but i don't want you to go wasting your money.
So....
Whats your budget and currency for the remaining of the rig? and do you have any preferences?
Also what resolution are you gaming at?

Since you already bought the CPU and GPU, there is no point in changing them.
Better PSU, better case, you dont need case fans, better CPU cooler
Thanks for the feedback. I'm not too sure which card I could have gotten better for my budget if I'm honest but if you could recommend one I can look to getting that in the near near future. I'll take a look at your suggestions and change a few things

Thanks for your feedback also. Again if you could recommend a better card and let me know why the 980 is a bad card then I can look to buying a new one in the near near future I put that Mobo in because it is one of the ones compatible with the front plate by RoG and due to the fact I will most likely be overclocking and so on in the build. This part list was only provisional which is why I posted it in here for alterations I wasn't too keen on putting liquid cooling in for the simple fact that one of mine has leaked in the past and fried my whole build, that's what worries me about doing it again although I might need to unless you can suggest a better air coolant than the one I currently put on there. I put 16GB in because I'll also be using it to render so it makes sense to have 16GB.
My budget is 500-600 GBP left to spend on the remainder, would love to welcome any suggestions from yourself in a partlist so I can change some things
Thanks again guys!

The 980 isnt bad, but its not worth the money. A 980ti or R9 390 would have been wiser.
If you dont want to liquid cool, get [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .
So you're using 16gb. Okay, Should have said that in the first place, I would've left it. Any RAM should do.
My buid, there really isnt anything to change tbh besides the RAM and cooler.

Thanks alot for all the feedback Dinkleberg (+REP).
I should have mentioned I'd be using the 16GB for rendering but forgot in my OP.
Do you think using the one fan you've linked will be enough to keep the CPU cool and the rest? I was thinking some case fans so that it's got good airflow into the case. What do you think?

It should be good enough to keep it cool under stock clock and some overclocking.
