Advertised response time doesn't actually mean anything and at 60hz you have 16.7ms of delay regardless if you want to have the lowest possible response time you'll need a 144hz display otherwise the little response time number will mean utter shit.


TL;Dr on console? get a cheap display difference is pure marketing. on PC get a 144hz panel.

So basically I should get the Benq 24" 144hz monitor. It doesn't have built in speakers and I didn't want to buy separate speakers so that's why I picked the 60hz monitor.

I'm sure your current monitor has several other video cable options, DVI, DisplayPort etc. Please stop giving a shit about the response time, it won't affect your competitive play at all...

No, as several users have already stated the response time of a monitor is considerably higher than the marketed number so it doesn't matter what it is advertised at.

Okay well now I know that, so what is a good gaming monitor that I should buy for around $300 USD?

$2k for a gaming build? No need for i7 or 16GB RAM. 390x isn't worth the premium over a 390. $2k and you're spending $30 on keyboard and mouse? Monitor is shit. No point using a 4k panel for consoles. Buy a cheap, decent quality 1080p panel for that. Old case? H100i is poo, there are better coolers for the same price.

1080p panel for consoles, 1440p panel for PC, if you really can't use the 4k display that you already have. XFire support so you can easily add a 2nd Fury. Try to unlock the cores on the Fury if you want
