Doing logos for "call of duty" is a bad idea..
Nonetheless, photoshop is what most design logos in however for more professional designs illustrator is key.
Laptops are not advised imo and it really isn't worth getting a laptop purely for "call of duty" logos or for beginner designing in that matter.
The best way to get started is to watch youtube tutorials.
I am going to start doing them soon but the best youtubers to watch are:
Rated Designs
Wanted Designs
SesoHQ

Making "$$" shouldn't be the reason you're designing. Of course it helps but you should be doing it because it is what you love to do not for the reason that you can make money

I use a laptop - everyone who tells you "Laptops are not advised" is talking like this because they just don't like doing gfx work on a laptop.
Look i got 3 laptops, ones my old windows, the one im using now is my new windows laptop and i also have a mbp 2015.
You can run photoshop on a £300 laptop easy .I use laptops because i'm always mobile, i work on desktops also but there really is no difference a shit pc is a shit pc laptops have more of an advantage GFX ON THE TRAIN!!!!!!!.
You start with youtube lmao
If you want a laptop ill help you pick.

I tried to design on my laptop but when you are runnig programmes like: C4D,AI,CS6 and AE at once there is no way the laptop (RAM) can handle it.
