got an xbox one the other day & it gave me a standard headset but it's so quiet that i can only just hear them i've adjusted the volume on the mic but it doesn't do much,
is there any other way to turn up the volume?

The standard mic is bad ... That's why you can't hear nothing but the official headset for Xbox the big one

There's a +/- button next to the mute button, that's all.
